The hotel is in close proximity to two of the biggest ale breweries in the UK. Both Theakstons and Black Sheep Breweries, of which both offer tours of their sites to visitors throughout the year. From The Bay Horse both breweries are within walking distance.
Masham also plays host to the Steam Rally and the Annual Masham Sheep Fair each year.
